Comrades, Check it out. Some edits in this piece reflect the biases of the paper June said to make her appear more liberal, but a decent piece that helps give her some broader exposure at a critical time in the campaign season.
Be on the lookout for more press, both positive and negative pertaining to Chokwe Lumumba's run for Mayor and June's run for City Council as part of our Jackson-Kush Plan. The electoral dimension of this initiative is kicking in to high gear between now and May 7th.
The initiative can use your help and over the course of the next several months the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement (MXGM) and the New Afrikan People's Organization (NAPO) will be calling on comrades in BLUN, BiB, and other fronts and alliances to lend some critical support on this initiative to see this critical phase through to completion and victory. The three most immediate ways comrades can help us are:
1. Fundraising to help support Chokwe and June's electoral campaigns.
2. Coming down to volunteer with outreach, mobilization, and voter reg and turn out between now and May 7th. If folks are interested in volunteering, please email me at kaliakuno@mxgm.org or call me at 510.593.3956.
3. Promoting the electoral campaigns and the overall Jackson-Kush Plan as a model for social transformation via the media and mass communication and social networking outlets you and your comrades control or have access to and influence within.
