Greetings !

For those of you who know of us you can always at this time of the year expect to hear from myself, Kamau Khalfani and those working with "The Learning Tree Radio/TV" or "The Kwanzaa Committee" "The UNIA" or any number of organizations that we work with on any given community issue or event. As we approach this holiday season once again we raise the banner of advance notice and preperation with a slight twist.
This year as we prepare for our celebration there isa an extra added accent mark. As many of you know every year we hold our Kwanzaa celebration on December 27th we celebrate the principle of "Kujichagulia"/ Self-determination along with the anniversary of my birth or my Sunday. For years I would actually celebrate my mother by having a party for her since it was her "birthday"... I simply showed up.

This year is a little different however for a couple of reasons, I will only mention one. This year I will be celebrating my 50th birthday!
They say that 50 is the new 30 and I am inclinede to agree.

To that end I am hoping that you will oin me in celebrating both Kwanzaa and my birthday, a celebration 50 years in the making. A celebration of joy and pain. One of conquest and defeat but above all a celebration of learning how to love and serve humanity.

As I reflect on the major events of our time (both good and bad) I have been privileged along with our media family ("The Laughing Tiger Entertainment Group) to bring you the news and information that has made a differance in the quality of your decision making. From KCEP FM 88 Las Vegas ,Nevada to WBAI 99.5 FM on Wall st in New York "The Learning Tree" has been there.

As we welcome yet another addition to the family..."The Dred Scott Press News Hour we look forward to a new level of not just news and information but of analysis with prominent scholars, sciantist authors political figures and of course you...the pubic.Covering such stories as the Passaic County shiriff's race to international issues like the thinly veiled attempt to recolonize Africa balenced by, the push for the United States fo Africa .We must be able to
explore the issues effecting our people the world over...issues that you might know nothing about but have a mutual effect on our world. such is the story in France where the international cosmemtic giant Guerlain felt comfortable enough to publicy (in an interview) assert that he did not know if "Negros" were hard workers.

There is so much that I/we want to share with you but we can't get it all out in one setting!

"It is my humble but accurate opinion that when the people in your life gather togetether they themselves will represent the very  canvas of your life and the world wil be able to see who you really are.One our the pleasent suprises of the evening is an appearance by our special guest DJ, none other than "DJ Majic" (James Chappell)

We look forward to an evening that won't soon be forgotten. We hope that you will join us and we also encourage to participate in our ad journal. You will find a contract attached to this communication to assist in making this a memorable occassion.

Our celebration will be held at the Slezak Thompson Memorial Recreation Center located at 60 Temple St. In Paterson NJ. The doors open at 6:30 and the event goes until 11:PM.
