Today we launch a new platform to give 1.6 million people in Florida the ability to vote.

Currently, 1.6 million Florida residents - including nearly 40% of black men in the state - are banned from voting. Florida is one of only four states that permanently takes away people's voting rights because of a felony conviction. Together, we can restore their ability to vote.

The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition has been leading a statewide campaign to put a measure on the 2018 ballot in Florida that would restore their voting rights. 275,000 more petition signatures from Florida registered voters are needed before February 1, 2018 to make this happen. Here’s how you can help:

• If you live in Florida: Download the petition, sign it and mail it to the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition at the address listed on the petition. Share the petition with your friends and family in Florida and encourage them to sign them as well!

• If you don’t live in Florida: We’ve partnered with Rock The Vote to be able to mail thousands of petitions to Florida voters. For every $1 you contribute, we’ll mail 2 petitions, complete with prepaid postage, to Florida registered voters.

• If you'd like to volunteer as a canvasser with this initiative, reply to this email.
