Background
Kah Walla is a 45 year old Cameroonian with a deep love for her country. She was raised by parents who believed in a strong family core and a code of ethics based on integrity, independence, self-belief and love. Her father worked in the civil service and her mother in public health. Kah spent her formative years inCameroon and also in Cote d'Ivoire before moving to the USA to attend Howard University in Washington DC where she obtained a BS in Zoology and studied for an MBA. She returned to Cameroon to work in theprivate sector for a number years before starting her own management/marketing company in 1995. She was an active player in the popular uprising, "Ville Mortes" and the fight for multi-party politics in Cameroon the early 1990's. Kah officially entered politics to join the opposition in 2007.
The international figure and global thinker
Prior to her engagement in politics, Kah Walla established herself as an active, avant-garde African thinker on global socio-economic issues. Her focus on how a rapidly changing Africa can effectively engage the world in ways that ensure reciprocal growth is evident in the successful management/marketing consulting firm "Strategies" she built from the ground up in Cameroon over a decade ago and of which she is the CEO. She is a founding member of the World Entrepreneurship Forum and is recognized internationally as an African business expert, her opinions and thoughts highly sought after.
The grassroots entrepreneur
Kah Walla is a progressive entrepreneur who thinks globally but acts locally. She is capable of building viable business relationships worldwide and translating them into positive and sustainable changes at the grassroots level in Cameroon.
The activist
After entering politics, Kah Walla quickly became a City Councilor in Cameroon's economic capital, Douala, where she has been pro-active on grassroots development projects and earned a reputation as the watchdog of municipal management. She is the founder of Cameroon O'Bosso, a non-partisan civil society organizationwhose objective is to inform, organize and enable Cameroonians to act on their political, social, and economic rights. Putting principles before politics, she separated from the Social Democratic Front and is currently engaged in creating a dynamic momentum within the opposition to galvanize all Cameroonians to utilize the power of their vote to finally take ownership of their electoral system and bring about the change they seek in the 2011 election.
The visionary
Kah Walla's vision for Cameroon is to complete the transfer of power that began 50 years ago. She strives to give Cameroonians new definitions of power, leadership and governance based on the key principles of:
