CALL FOR PERFORMERS
The Caribbean Studies Students’ Union invites all performers to participate in the launch of CARSSU’s first ever, student-published journal on the Caribbean and its Diaspora. The journal focuses on celebrating the works of students interested in the Caribbean, whether it is academic papers, poetry/ song and even art work.
The journal will be launched on March 25 and 26 with a dinner, conference, fete, and art show. That's where you come in! Whether it be singing, dancing, music, comedy or spoken word, come share your talent with us! Submit a sample of your work, and a short paragraph about yourself and how your art relates to the Caribbean to be selected as a performer.
All submission go to journal.carssu@gmail.com with “PERFORMER” in the subject line. Deadline is March 2, 2011
Submission must include:
Name, email address and telephone number
A short sample of your art
A short bio (with which you will be introduced should you be chosen)
A short explanation of how your art relates to the Caribbean
Artist MUST be available March 24, 25, and 26
