Chaka Conned!!!

On December 6, 2012, 1,000 people witnessed ten-time Grammy winner R&B Queen of Funk Soul Chaka Khan perform at the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) in the Hyatt Regency in Century City Los Angeles. The event raised $14 million dollars.

The IDF is infamous for its war crimes and acts of genocide against Palestinians for sixty-four years—including a brutal 45-year occupation of Gaza and the West Bank. International law and Geneva War Conventions are beneath these state-sponsored terrorists. The IDF is a killing machine of women and children oiled by the American taxpayer.

On the night of the gala for the IDF, Khan’s biggest hit was the Prince-penned song ironically titled “I Feel For You” however it is obvious her feelings don’t extend to the tens of thousands of victims of the Zionist State. As Khan sang about being every woman, she did not including the mourning Palestinian mothers who have lost children and husbands for decades in Hebron, Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin, Jericho, and Bethlehem. Khan’s co-performer was has-been “American Idol” star and one-hit wonder Ruben Studdard.

The IDF’s slaughter of 140 women and children in Gaza a month before did not matter to Khan who sang her signature song “I’m Every Woman”. The show must going especially if your killer patrons pay well. Khan was the FIDF’s last minute replacement for Stevie Wonder. In 1998, Wonder a blind musical legend and self-proclaimed humanitarian, had been the musical guest to serenade 50th anniversary gala honoring the founding of the Apartheid-settler state of Israel.

This year FIDF sponsors were caught off guard by an international opposition movement to their gala of death. The foolish Stevie Wonder’s effort to perform for the FIDF encountered a hostile petition campaign from Arab and European activists overseas, and in America African American community within Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement called for protests at the musician’s home, radio station KJLH, and for boycotts of his annual Toys for Tots concert. A cowed Stevie Wonder withdrew to avoid the wrath of the community. Wonder’s retreat did not satisfy African American activists disgust with the IDF and they demonstrated at FIDF’s gala where Khan sang. The BDS movement’s campaign was a success in no small part due to its African American faction. The movement flexed it muscles in Zionist-controlled Hollywood and shown the Israel’s henchmen and amoral Black stars can be defeated and shamed. Today, a new movement now exist to discipline anti-social Black artists that prostitute themselves to the cause of Zionistic Apartheid in Israel.

Chaka Khan’s brazenly callous support of the IDF—despite what she learned from Wonder’s decision to not perform-- must not go unpunished. Khan like all other greedy African American artists, politicians, academics, and sellout activists must face organized retribution for supporting Imperialism, racism and Zionism. Khan’s concerts must be boycotted, her records and effects burn, and her shows picketed. Stations that play her songs must face hostile call-in campaigns. Never again can Africans that aid the Apartheid state of Israel be given a pass on their evil deeds no matter how many platinum records or Grammys they have.

As she sang she was every woman she was not thinking about the mourning women who have lost children, husbands, and demolished homes in Hebron, Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin, Jericho, and Bethleham.
