Organizers.
Why a Black Power Convention?
With growing national frustrations over Black unemployment, inner city violence,
jails and prisons, poor health, poor education/schools, racism, police
abuse and self-genocide, the time is right for a Black Power Convention.
Africa and Black Peoples worldwide are threatened with extinction if
the right decisions are not made by this generation of leadership. If we
don’t organize and unite the forces of evil will prey upon us and
eliminate us. Black organizations and leaders of every stripe and
persuasion will be in attendance at this Convention to offer leadership,
guidance and on-going solutions to our people whose very survival is at
stake in this hour. What makes the Black Power Convention 2010 unique
and attractive is the strength of the agenda and the diversity its
participants and presenters.
"If we do not see the handwriting on the wall and organize like never before we will certainly be
destroyed." Dr. Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq.- Convener
There will be no better place in 2010 than the Black Power Convention for learning,
networking and organizing. If you are for acquiring knowledge and
support for your issues and causes- this Convention is for you. New
leadership that is not normally heard from will be present. Real
solutions and paths to progress will emerge from this historic summit of
united leadership. The 2009 Black Power Conference at Mike Roberts
Crowne Plaza Marriott in Marietta , GA was a great success. The Black
Power Convention at Historic Morris Brown College in Atlanta will take
us to a new level in organized struggle, development and resistance.
What Makes The Black Power Convention Unique?
The National Black Power Convention is unique and forceful because it is organized
from a different construct than most African American conferences or
political conventions. The convention and its presenters will gather
under the general liberation and philosophical approach given to us by
Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, Elijah Muhammad, Harriet Tubman, Fannie Lou
Hamer, Kwame Ture (Stokley Carmichael) , Adam Clayton Powell, Kwame
Nkrumah, Dr. Khallid Muhammad and other race first advocates. Convention
presenters and participants will offer expert advice and chart a
progressive, even revolutionary agenda to better the lives of our
people. The workshops and forums, which are taught by leading experts in
their field, are detailed, highly informative and well organized.
Conveners
Seasoned front line veterans Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz and Minister Hashim A.
Nzinga combine collective efforts to bring a unified force of
organizations and leaders together based on sound principles. Attorney
Shabazz has been organizing heavily and
consistently for 20 years since he was a student revolutionary at
Howard University . Shabazz has spread and spearheaded the New Black
Panther Party worldwide and put in consistent good work in the legal
arena via Black Lawyers For Justice. Minister Hashim serves as the
National Chief of Staff of the NBPP and has extensive experience in the
entertainment field. Brother Hashim has been a solid activist for
decades and also heads up Youth Saving Youth. Both Attorney Shabazz and
Minister Nzinga were helpers and students of the immortal Honorable Dr.
Khallid Abdul Muhammad.
