CLAIM FORM ASSISTANCE
December 6, 2012
Alabama A & M University
On Thursday, December 6, 2012, The Black Farmers And Agriculturlists Association, Inc. will conduct a workshop to both inform and assist its members in preparing to file their claim of discrimination in the voluntary Claims Process for Hispanic and Women farmers. However, BFAA, Inc. is here, as before, encourging all of its members (male as well as female) to
obtain a copy of the Claim Form from the Claims Administrator in Portland,
Oregan.

If you have not received one of these Claim Forms you can do so
by calling 1-(888) 508-4429 or download the same by going to http://trk.cp20.com/Tracking/t.c?Y4KF-gjW1-102Uxb6.

This
form is, to say the least, voluminous and multi-layered (16 pages) and can pose
a problem for a claimant who may not quite undestand the alternating and
remodeling of questions and phrases which may be adverse to the language
traditionally used in the African American farming commuity. We are, therefore,
asking all of our members to wait and/or otherwise seek the help of someone who
may have a more "homely" understanding of the terms and legalese otherwise being
couched in the 16 page Claim Form --- resulting in confusion.

Moreover,
BFAA, Inc. has been helping its members prepare an affidavit which will further
particularize, specify and detail their allegations of discrimination agains
them by USDA. This affidavit has addressed and answered most of the questions
being raised in the Claim Form. To this end, those affidavits, when attached to
the Claim Form will, we believe, help put in perspective and explain, more
clearily, the alleged acts of discrimination. The affidavit should also increase
the likelihood that the alleged claim of discrimination, when reviewed by the
adjudicating parties, will boost the claimants credibility with those
parties.

Accodingly, if you have not received your affidavit you may call
our office at 1.901.522.8880 and ask for --- BFAA, Inc.'s Affidavit Form
"Exhibit B."

The meeting will be held at the following time and
location:

Thursday, December 6, 2012
10:00 A. M. until
Noon

James I. Dawson Building
