The East Timor and Indonesia Action Network (ETAN) is turning 20 later this year and we need your help to celebrate. We are looking for graphic designs that reflect ETAN's work over the past two decades. This graphics contest is open to anyone. Let's get creative!

The graphic must include ETAN's full name - "East Timor and Indonesia Action Network (ETAN)", that ETAN is 20 years old and our web address "www.etan.org ". The graphic should reflect ETAN's solidarity work for justice, human rights, accountability, self-determination, as described in our mission statement (see below).

Submissions should be sent initially as a low-resolution graphics file to graphic@etan.org by October 12, 2011. All submissions must include artists name, address, phone and e-mail. If you are in Timor-Leste and need a scanner, contact Charles Scheiner at La'o Hamutuk (peacefulsystems@gmail.com, +670-734-0965) after September 1 for assistance.

Submissions will be judged by a committee appointed by ETAN's board. Judges decisions are final. Winners may be asked to make modifications to the graphic and to send us a high-resolution file.

ETAN may use any entry as it decides with credit to the designer. The designs could appear, among other places, on the web, posters and other printed matter, t-shirts and other clothing, drinking vessels and other objects.

ETAN will pick four winners. A first and second place East Timorese winner and a first and second place non-East Timorese winner.

The East Timorese first place winner will receive $100, 2nd place winner $50. The non-East Timorese winners will receive traditional Timorese Tais. All winners will receive their design on a t-shirt.

ETAN educates, organizes, and advocates for human rights, women's rights, societal and economic justice, democracy and genuine self-determination in East Timor.
