The Stop Firestone campaign is working to hold Firestone accountable for its use of child labor, abuse of workers’ rights and destruction of the environment on its rubber plantation in Liberia. We are a coalition of U.S. and Liberian-based organizations. [ABOVE] Members of the Casa Maria Catholic Worker took action at three Firestone Complete AutoCare stores in the Milwaukee area to protest Firestone's use of child labor and labor rights abuses on their rubber plantation in Liberia. The actions took place on July 26, 2008 which is Liberia's Independence Day.
