Dr. Uzoma Nwosu, author and medical practitioner, discusses the spiritual and cultural importance of the Igbo language. Nwosu pays special attention to the Igbo word "Chi" known as "the personal godly guardian" and which translates to "God" in English. He states that since "God is the big chi and God put chi everywhere then we are a part of God." He also explains how the Igbo language and culture is fading. "Across the board you have words with meaning, which we for some reason are no longer interested in or have lost the meaning of those words," said Nwosu.
