I am writing this comment before hearing Dr. Africa's presentation. Dr Muhammad's speech on the geographical connection of Arab states to the continent of Africa was illuminating. Given the information on the mitochondrial eve, we know that all humankind came out of Africa. The territory he discussed could be a region of Africa, not Africa: Arabia is not Africa. When talking about Africa, he separated sub-Saharan Africa from northern Africa. That is a mistake which adversely affected his conclusions.
Relative to Islam and Ma'at, he is comparing the adult with the child. Ma'at is much more than a religion, although it is the root of many religions, Egyptian religions (Book of the Dead), ifa, Yoruba, Akan, Santeria, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc. There are similar beliefs and practices among all of these reiigions. In his book, The African Origins of the Major Western Religions, Ben-Jochanan stated that Islam was the child of Christianity and Judaism. Ma'at came first and Islam is one of its children.
