  Does Dr. Scholes or the blog have any archives and information on Count Ossie and The Mystique Revelations of Rastafari? Him and his band (Nyabignyi) are some of the founders of the community. Him and his drummers (The Mystique Revelations of Rastafari) pave the way for proverbial/revolutionary reggae. His records (33s and 45s) were lost in the late 1980s during the chaos in W. Africa.  I hope i can somehow recover this legacy for next generation.

  You may be interested in this blog post about Caribbean Thinkers.  Dr. Scholes was a Jamaican man who travelled around Africa in the 19th century and posted his observations in a Jamaican newspaper on a weekly basis.  What a shame this level of knowledge and awareness is largely absent these days.

  My first memory of Rasta was "dred". It was Bark Wood. He use to sell Drop Pan. He would be screaming Fyah Fih Yuh...Blood an' Fyah....
  We kids would run when we see him, Fyah!
  Heard of a man name Henry(?) and soldier have to stop him from teking over the country.
  Distant memories.
