2014 marked the twentieth anniversary of the International Locks Conference, Hair Care, Fashion and Beauty Expo held each year in Philadelphia Pa.. During the past twenty years the International Locks Conference has set the tone and tenor for natural hair care, fashion, health and beauty products, conscious raising, psychological and political empowerment and it impact is flt around the world.. Each year top stylists, fashion designers, product creators, grass roots activists and alternative health care practitioners come together and create a warm positive environment to celebrate natural hair, the Black aesthetic and unabashedly appreciate who we are. This year the International Locks Conference was held at the Universal Audenreid Charter High School at 3301 Tasker Street in South Philadelphia.
