Initiative to College Educate African American & Hispanic Males
WASHINGTON (JUNE 21, 2014) College Educate Our Sons (CEOS) will host a workshop and seminar to increase awareness and strengthen support of programs and initiatives designed to help parents and teachers help boys achieve college educations. The event will be held at the Howard University Divinity School-Thurman Chapel, 1400 Shepherd St. NE, Washington, DC 20017 on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Parents, teachers, mentors, administrators, counselors, and boys ages 13-18 should plan to attend.
"On this day we were God's mouthpiece. God says that He will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that I (we) will not have room to receive all that He has to offer. I now know what He means. Many parents, churches, scholars, teachers, friends and community leaders told me how much the seminar blessed them. I beg to differ, I believe I was the blessed one, blessed by them," said Yolanda Summons, a 2013 conference attendee.
