3828817771?profile=originalMothers for Africa has had the privilege to work closely with African's in the Diaspora and different organizations that represent the Diaspora, it has proven to be fruitful and productive. We have noted that we have much in common, but there remains false information about the Diaspora that has spread through our communities. We would like to join forces to discus and extinguish such propaganda. Also, work on unity to strengthen our community and become proactive with different issues that impact us all. We are starting a monthly meeting at our new headquarters in Altadena called the Garvey House.

During these monthly meetings we will watch documentaries regarding the African Diaspora and have a discussion regarding the information we view. The films we will be showing are very hard to find and are educational. We encourage you to bring your children so they can be empowered with education of our vast history while building self-esteem.

As we know many educational institutions do not educate our children on much of our vast history so this will be a perfect opportunity for not only the youth but adults as well. My last name is Sankofa which means you cannot move forward without remembering your past, I have utilized the same model for my children and it has proven to be very successful. It is time for Africa to move forward together. Join us as we network and come together in support. Good food is included, please see attached flyer. $7 or adults, $5 for children, vegetarian meals included.

Hope to see you there Nana
