THE MAYAN DOOMS-DAY CALENDAR SPOOF!
On Friday before the evening of GOD’s Sabbath, every hour on the hour, I listened to reporters interviewing people about the Mayan Dooms-day Calendar. Honestly, I was amazed at the majority of these assumedly intelligent people who either believed in this pagan prediction or straddled the fence thinking that it could be true and who wanted to be prepared if it were. One reporter even interviewed a Mayan who spoke the original language, and he shared that December 21, 2012 was not a dooms day.
The fact that this date is now proved to be a fiasco should make people realize that belief in idolatry, be it idols themselves or belief in what the idolaters write and/or predict is paganism, an abomination in the EYES OF GOD (which HE staunchly and passionately detests) and could in no way be of any truth. Truth does not proceed forth from paganism and lies.
Moreover, if people would take the time to read the WORD of the CREATOR GOD and follow HIS Ways, as they followed this pagan calendar, they would be the wiser. That is not to say to follow the “New Testament” because that, too, is belief in idol worship. And as with the Mayan Calendar, this “New Testament” has people waiting on the “coming” of a “man”, which has already proven to be a 2,000+ year-old flop. This man died so people who believe in him would not suffer and would be saved. Ask Christians if they have ceased to suffer. Ask the Christians who just buried their young children if they were “saved”.
So, what should people believe?
BELIEVE THE GOD’s TRUTH!
Believe in the CREATOR GOD - the ONE that has the power to kill or make alive, the ONE that formed man from the dust of the Earth, and the ONE that established HIS Way of Righteousness for all people to live and do in the very BEGINNING when HE put man upon HIS Earth. Noah was well aware of the CREATOR’s Righteousness, for HE found “Grace with GOD” and was ultimately SAVED for belief in GOD’s TRUTH. Thus, Christianity had nothing whatsoever to do with Noah’s SALVATION, which was also the SALVATION of the LORD which SAVED the Israelites out of the hands of the Egyptians (Exodus 14:13). This is the SALVATION we should all be seeking – one proved to be of Divine TRUTH!
Hence, believe in the CREATOR GOD that Created this Universe and OBEY HIS VOICE:
“O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever” Deuteronomy 5:29
“That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” Deuteronomy 30:20
“When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: And that their children, which have not known anything, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God...” Deuteronomy 31:11 - 13
Under these TRUTHS, how can Christians or others who believe in and worship idols or anything but the CREATOR determine that the Most High GOD would revoke HIS “Perfect LAW and would give HIS GLORY to another?
“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great re ward.” Psalm 19:7 – 11
“The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.” Isaiah 42:21
“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” Isaiah 42:8
All the CREATOR GOD ever asked of the people HE Created was that they live according to HIS Ways of Righteousness, and of course FEAR HIM that it will be done.
“That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.” Deuteronomy 6:2
DAY IF THE LORD
Nevertheless, there is a dooms day of sorts or rather a “Day of the LORD” when HE will once again Judge the wicked in order to establish peace upon HIS Earth, as it was in the BEGINNING when all things were “good”.
“And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.” Isaiah 13:11 - 13
“Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:” Isaiah 13:6,7
“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.” Deuteronomy 32:39
“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Psalm 50:15
“…they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.” Isaiah 45:20 - 23
NOW, UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES, THERE IS GOOD REASON TO BELIEVE, FEAR, AND ABOVE ALL TO OBEY!
