Statement on death of Gospel Music Legend Inez Andrews, board member of The Chicago Gospel Music Heritage Museum

On behalf of The Board of The Chicago Gospel Music Heritage Museum, our hearts are heavy now that the death angel has claimed gospel music legend Inez Andrews, fellow Board member as well as a former Board Chairman, served with us on The Chicago Gospel Music Heritage Museum. We lost another Board member,the late Albertina Walker and now Inez Andrews that we and others just couldnt work fast enough on their wish to see a physical home for the museum in the lifetimes. God bless our founder and museum curator Rev. Stanley Keeble who also has lost another longtime friend and gospel music legend.

There are other elder Board members, other gospel music legends who share the wishes that were shared by Albertina Walker, Inez Andrews, as well as the late Delois Barrett Campbell and others to finally see a real permanent home for The Chicago Gospel Music Heritage Museum. We hope that the death of Inez Andrews will serve as the latest challenge that those who are able will help to finally achieve the wish of Inez Andrews that their dream for a physical location for The Chicago Gospel Music Heritage Museum is realized.
