link of Chicago recording artist and 16th Ward resident making Black music history appearing on the first October 1971 national broadcast of SOUL TRAIN. I would like to suggest that before the month of October ends that the 16th Ward Alderman in particular and Chicago in general develop a City resolution honoring Chicago's Bobby Hutton as the last living Chicago resident after Don Cornelius who was part of the historic October 1971 pilot of the nationally syndicated SOUL TRAIN broadcast!!!
In honor of the historic October 1971 national debut of The SOUL TRAIN show, National Black Wall Street Chicago is pleased to suggest to our Chicago city leaders to officially recognize Chicago recording artist BOBBY HUTTON, the last living Chicago part of that historic airing in October 1971. BOBBY HUTTON, who made Black Music History when SOUL TRAIN founder Don Cornelius personally selected him as one of the first artists to appear in October 1971 on the first nationally syndicated show of SOUL TRAIN!! And today Hutton is also the maker of the current hit R&B/Steppers Hit "20 Years Later." Also National Black Wall Street Chicago special to Bobby Hutton and the Black Wall Street legacy is that in addition to his music legacy he was also raised in the original Black Wall Street City of Tulsa Oklahoma.
