Rauner Continues In Black Community Streets While Quinn Is Not!!
Black street teams seen posting huge Rauner Election Signs on CTA South and westsides with still no signs of same signs for Governor Quinn

Last week I posted seeing Republican Candidate Bruce Rauner investing in a Black grassroots street teams who were riding CTA trains on the south and westsides passing out Rauner literature in traditional Democratic voter bases and in areas where we saw absolutely no similar street teams distributing literature for Quinn.  Now this weekend we spot more Black grassoots street teams for Rauner posting these huge Rauner signs on the big fences that surround CTA Red Line stops from 95th to 79th and I hear from others were also seen going up on the westside too, and once again with NO similar street signs from the Quinn campaign in his own base! If Rauner wins the Republican Primary, good for him that he made an investment in Black grassroots voters to show visibility where one would have thought that Quinn would want to be seen as well in his core voting base in the Black community.  This kind of oversight by major candidates is what also continues to low voter turnout and apathetic voters when its clear to them that candidates dont have to invest in them on the front side of an election while still expecting loyal votes for them as it appears with Quinn. I know it has b4ecome easy for Party strategists to say you can just buy some media and do the direct mail campaign, but there are traditional voters who still are used to the old school investment of street workers being directly among the voters touching them for their vote too. On this Black Primary campaign out reach in the streets - THUMBS UP for Rauner who made the street visibility investment in the primary when he really didnt have to to win the Republican Primary and THUMBS DOWN for Governor Quinn who desperately needs the Black vote to win yet bypassed making this Black grassroots street presence in areas he counts on to win.

ORIGINAL POST
Over the past few days I have seen Black grassroots street teams for Republican Bruce Rauner for Governor passing out literature on CTA trains for the March 18th Primary. I must commend Rauner for investing in the Black grassroots community when technically he doesnt have to to win The Republican Primary. I am glad to see some unemployed Black people making some legitimate dollars for a few days versus other illegal street economies I have seen them engaged in on CTA trains and on the street. I must also commend Rauner for the number of grassroots meetings he has held in the Black community with a number of constituent groups you would have thought were Democratic, but so many of these groups have told me that even with a few days until the March 18th Primary election they STILL have had no outreach to them by The Quinn Campaign! How does The Quinn Campaign get a pass for not investing those traditional Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) dollars into street outreach teams to distribute literature prior to the election? Is the Black vote really taken for granted THAT MUCH?
