Please Help 60 Inner-City Students Visit Egypt This Summer -- African Genesis Institute

On August 1st of this year, 60 graduates of our African Genesis program will travel to Egypt. The cost of the program and trip is $340,000. Through internal fundraising, the students have raised $322,000 thus far. We need your help to raise the remaining $18,000.

African Genesis Institute (www.africangenesis2.org) is a Philadelphia based, 501c-3 "school without walls" that produces a 24 month Ancient African history study program for Black and Latino youth between the ages of 7 and 14. Once they graduate from the program, their reward is a FREE trip to Egypt. Since inception (1998), we have taken over 3000 students, parents and group leaders to the Motherland.

Our mission is to raise the students' race and self esteem; increase their academic and financial literacy; promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage entrepreneurship. Our motto is "it is better to build a child than repair an adult".

African Genesis Institute is a "do for self" organization. We get very little funding or help from the government, foundations or major corporations. All of our support and success comes from the Creator, the ancestors and the Black community.
