Special guest speaker Masaké Kane will be speaking about the context, need for and outcome of the third Pan-African Youth Summit, which occurred June 18-19, in Dakar, Senegal. She will also discuss the June 23 and subsequent protests and riots that shook the Senegalese capital and major cities across the country, and how these fit into the wider context of the wave of uprisings by youth in Africa this year. Masaké Kane is a member of the League of Revolutionary Pan-Africanists, which just organized the third annual Pan-African Youth Summit in Dakar, Senegal. She is currently a student at Towson University, where she is working to start an ANSWER Coalition student chapter. and
