SPONDYLOLISTHESIS: A LUMBAR SPINE FRACTURE
Presented by Thomas Errico, M.D. - Dr. Errico has been Chief of the Spine Service at NYU Langone’s Hospital for Joint Diseases since 1997 and Chief of the Division of Spine Surgery since 2006. He is also a full Professor of both Orthopedic Surgery and Neurosurgery. Dr. Errico is internationally recognized as one of the most prominent specialists in the field of spine and spinal deformity surgery. He was noted by the Becker's Orthopedic Newsletter to be one of the 10 surgeons in the U.S. to know in the field of scoliosis and also one of the top 100 spine surgeons in the U.S. He has served as president of the North American Spine Society which is the largest multidisciplinary spine society in the world and has also served as president of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF NECK-SHOULDER-ARM SYNDROME
Presented by Themistocles Protopsaltis, M.D. - Dr. Protopsaltis is Director of the Bellevue Orthopedic Spine Service and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center. He has unique dual training in spine and peripheral nerve disorders. He completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center and a Fellowship in Hand, Microsurgery/Peripheral Nerve Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia, New York Presbyterian Hospital. His clinical practice specializes in the surgical management of all spinal disorders as well as the differentiation and management of peripheral nerve problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome.
NON-SURGICAL BACK PAIN: WHEN TO WORRY, WHEN NOT TO
Presented by Mark Rieger, M.D. - Dr. Mark Rieger is a board certified Pediatric Orthopedist and the Senior Physician at Advocare The Orthopedic Center. After earning his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, he completed his surgical internship and orthopedic surgical residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, followed by a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. Dr. Rieger has served as chief of the pediatric orthopedic division at Morristown Memorial Hospital and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU Langone Medical Center, where he performs scoliosis surgery.

John currently serves as a resource to New Jersey Governor Christie’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sport and has renowned expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, sports medicine and athletic conditioning.
