"Amina in Harlem" by Sidi, writer of best-selling book, "Fatou"'

Synopsis

Harlemite businessman, Kevin, and West African villager, Amina, couldn’t be further apart in terms of where they are in their relationships. Kevin has been engaged to Lisa for several years but things seem to be moving backward instead of forward between them. And Amina is about to relocate to Harlem to marry Salou, the love of her life.

But Amina is thrown a curveball when she learns that Salou has been taken into police custody and is scheduled to be deported by the I.N.S. on the exact same day she arrives in New York City.

When Kevin reaches out the hand of friendship to Anima and invites her into his home, problems arise. How will Aaliyah, Kevin’s daughter, react when she realizes that Amina treats her better than Lisa ever has? Will Kevin’s distaste for his fiancée grow when he sees how much his daughter loves the stranger he brought into their lives? How will Lisa respond to the blossoming friendships? And how will the three new friends react to Lisa’s growing jealousy and discomfort with the situation?

AMINA in Harlem, unfolds in an intricate web of twists and turns — a love triangle and then a tragedy that explodes beyond proportion. All involved in the triangle will find their worlds turned upside down and inside out.

Who will fall apart and who will remain standing? Will it possible for love to survive despite the forces of deceit, disappointment and treachery? Will all in love be fair in the emotional battle taking place in Harlem? Watch AMINA in Harlem, and find out!
