On July 18th 2012 the New Sanctuary Coalition of NYC invites you to a general meeting to hear from our elected officials on the importance of participating in the electoral process even if you cannot vote or are an undocumented immigrant.
We will be discussing the state of immigration now with respect to the decision by the Obama administration to grant prosecutorial discretion to undocumented youths, SComm and the recent Supreme Court decision on the Arizona anti-immigrant law SB1070. Our elected officials will be discussing the impact of these issues on our communites and how their offices are responding to help you understand and protect yourself.
We cannot get the change we want unless we are willing to fight for it.
