HBCUConnect.com publishes annual listing of top career and job fairs for Black college students.
(BlackNews.com) -- Despite the relatively high unemployment rates in the United States, Historically Black Colleges & Universities are preparing for another year of heavy recruitment activity from employers looking to hire their students and graduates.
Apparently the nation's slump has not destroyed the diversity initiatives of some smart companies preparing for the shift in demographics that the next decade will bring.
As a service to the HBCUs and their student and alumni populations, one web site - HBCUConnect.com - has decided to proactively publish a list of all of the upcoming career fairs in 2011.
Their goal is to help the schools increase their career fair attendance, and also attract some of the top employers that work with HBCUConnect.com to recruit minority talent. "We just published our list of top employers for HBCU students and graduates, and while only a few companies dropped off the list, a few more joined in their place," says Will Moss, CEO of HBCUConnect.com. Via the web site, HBCUconnect.com heavily supports the Black college audience by publishing and promoting a variety of career opportunities from the likes of McGraw-Hill, Microsoft, and Progressive Insurance.
They also feature thousands of job opportunities from non-profit organizations, government institutions, and colleges who are looking to fill faculty positions. All students and alumni are invited to apply for the open positions - whether they attended an HBCU or not.
