Join Howard University’s MIDARP (Minority Institutions’ Drug Abuse Program Research Program) and invited guest, Professor Vernillia Randall from the University of Dayton’s School of Law, for her address, “Dying While Black: Law as a Social Determinant of Health.”
Dr. Kathy Sanders-Phillips, Principal Investigator of the MIDARP, has invited Professor Randall to speak at our quarterly seminar series. Professor Randall has a distinguished career in health disparities and social justice. She is the recipient of the Ohio Commission on Minority Health Chairman’s Award and was named one of the “Top 10 Most Influential African-Americans” on the 2001 Black Equal Opportunity Employment Journal list. Professor Randall received her juris doctor degree from Lewis and Clark College, and her M.S.N. and B.S.N. degrees from the University of Washington and University of Texas (Austin), respectively.
