Testimony of Margaret Davis, 40 year veteran nurse saves a life! Saves heart attack victim in club!
"I have been a nurse for 40 years and on August 8 I found I still had skills.
I was at a party at the Grand Marmon. The DJ was playing a line dance which the participants were doing a dance called the wobble. One participant was doing the dance very strenuous and sensual. When the CD was over the participant walked back to the chair and fell to the floor.
I ran to the lady and me and another nurse assessed she had a cardiac arrest.
Dr. Janice Phillips who has many years in the ER stressed always carry your shield. I had a shield, But her airway was occluded by secretions. I was doing chest compressions. I continued for 10-15 minutes. She responded 3 times and reverted back. The paramedics came and intubated her and rushed her to Mercy. I am happy to report the lady "Bernadine" is alive, alert and talking.
I would like to thank Janice Henry for her work at the American Heart Association for promoting CPR and Stroke education.
Thanks to Evelyn Collier Dixon, Susie Madison, and Evelyn Littleton for encouraging the CCNBNA members to keep updated with CPR.
Lastly thanks to Denise Williams for providing the role model indicating nurses can save lives on the street, lounge, and workplace.
Bernadine is alive because of fast thinking nurses, rapid first responders, and a hospital that was competent for treating heart injury.
God placed the stars in alignment"

"Margaret is indeed a life saver. I was also there and witnessed a miracle. This woman was at the door of death and is alive today because of Ms. Davis nursing skills and quick action. She is a humanitarian in the first-degree and deserve to be recognized for her life time of service to the health and wellness of us all. I will nominate her to receive our prestigious Humanitarian of the Year Award at our upcoming Fifth Annual Civility Campaign Awards Gala in late October. Thanks Don for recognizing a Great Lady and her extraordinary deed(s)."

My name is Don Doty
"I was there during the whole situation, the individual who had the heart attack is a personal friend of mine, she owns a Home Health Service, which specializes in helping and saving others, and then laying on the floor she could not help herself
Margaret Davis is a Life Changer in my life, many times I had gone to Margaret for Spiritual advice and Financial help and for the last twenty years she had always been there for me. She never complained about her own fragile health, she only has cared for others, that is her gift, this is who she is.
She is Humble, I would like to present Humanitarian of the Year Award during our Oct 27th Health Warrior of the Awards ( attached)
