Re: Racially-motivated Murder of Joe McKnight
Dear Commissioner Goodell:
Under Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution, the Congressional Black Caucus has the responsibility to, initially, speak out on the murder of Joe McKnight, a former member of the National Football League who was drafted, initially, as a running back for the New York Jets, and who subsequently played for the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Mother's Day 1987, the Washington Post anointed me "Mr. Civil Rights in the Courtroom" for, inter alia, opening the door to and inviting hate crime legislation nationwide. I was the "chief counsel" in the racially-motivated murder of Michael Griffith in 1986 in Howard Beach, NY, a stronghold of President-elect, Donald J. Trump.
I will be appearing tomorrow, December 3, 2016, at noontime, on Darren Muhammad’s Radio Program aired on WFBR-AM (1590) in Baltimore, MD. Given Mr. Muhammad's reputation for being "civic-minded," I am certain that the Congressional Black Caucus, the NFL, the NFL Player's Association and District Attorney Paul D. Connick, Jr.of Jefferson Parish, 24th Judicial District, in Louisiana, are invited to discuss the status of the investigation into the death of Mr. McKnight.
I verily believe that Mr. Muhammad will allot time to discuss this fatal shooting in Louisiana. This shooting is part of the modus operandi of Mr. Trump. He has poisoned the atmosphere during the presidential bid, like he did in New York, for the "Central Park 7." Mr. Trump called for the "Final Solution" in 1990. I successfully represented one of those innocent, young men, pro bono.
Mr. Trump is a "sore" winner. He is a "White Knight" of Wall Street. Retaliatory actions were taken against four black attorneys for coming to the defense of the "Central Park 7.” The disciplinary records of these four attorneys can be obtained from NYS Office of Court Administration which also continues to "defame" the undersigned for being the "Architect" of Hate Crime Legislation in both New York and in Congress.
Very truly yours,
Alton H. Maddox, Jr.
