Chicago-Midwest
After a very violent Independence Day weekend, Rev. Jesse Jackson shared this statement released today, "We need an urban plan for reconstruction."
"No Plan for Reconstruction for Chicago"
Statement By Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr.
Monday, July 7, 2014.
In Chicago there are zones of terror and deprivation. Deprivation of an underclass that leads to terror in a city facing an undeclared emergency that should be declared a “state of emergency.” This “state of emergency” requires remedy and resources. It requires social and economic reconstruction, not just the emptying of guns and the filling of jails.
The police blotter can show us where the disaster zones are. They are the areas with the most foreclosed houses, the most vacant lots, the least education, the least access to health care, the least hospital emergency access and the most unemployed. Fifty schools closed, 50 drug stores closed, 73 grocery stores closed. These are the desert zones driven by a sub-economy featuring drugs-in, guns-in and jobs-out.
There have been 207 homicides in Chicago in 2014, including 173 killed and 1,029 wounded by guns – 118 wounded by gunfire from January to May, 230 shot in May, 250 shot in June, and 17 killed and 77 wounded by gunfire so far in July. In just four days, over the July 4 holidays, there were 14 killed and 65 wounded by gunfire.
The painful fact is we know where the drugs are coming from and where the jobs are going. There is no urban plan for reconstruction.

We have a plan for reconstruction in Iraq, Afghanistan and other dangerous zones, but there is no plan for reconstruction in our hometown of Chicago! In the meantime, we live in horror until next Monday’s body count. We deserve better.
Stop the violence. Save the children.

  • in the spirit of revolution,

well, if negroes like jesse would have not cut a deal with the white power structure during the late sixties, in terms of keeping the lid on or gate-keeping our young black warriors in return for material opulence, WE would not be in the situation that WE are in at present, chicago for example. he can go on and on about all the so-called remedies, but there is nothing that's gonna straighten out OUR problems short than taking a turn toward revolution, point blank.

he is a pacifist for the white ruling class and a hustler of black people's everyday problems. he's rich and doesn't have a job. he has been a liar liar pants on fire for over five decades. he rebel rouses and then puts out his own fire by design. the enemy kills us, WE threaten response in kind and jesse comes to their rescue calling for calm and peace, just as it is laid out for him.

he can site this and that, as so-called solutions, but knows himself that there is no solution short of demolishing a system of which he's part and parcel. ask him about his membership in the ultra secret group trilateral commission, founded by david rockefeller. therefore, he is a rockefeller-made chump, a rockefeller recipient of the sixties, which means he'd never risk cutting off the hidden hand that gave him his start. after king was assassinated by the people who controls his strings, what did he do immediately after that. ask him why he stuck his hands in king's blood and then it wiped it on his shirt and then less than 24 hours appeared on syndicated talk show. ask him why did he change king's room from the first floor to the balcony. and ask him why had he removed king's armed protection from their stay at the hotel.

and he wants to continue portraying himself as a black leader to the unsuspecting masses of US. WE have to remove jesse by taking him down off OUR mental planes and WE can begin OUR road to genuine freedom, not that token freedom with all the abstract cosmetics and fancy jingles of repeat after me. black people need black power and nothing else. black people need revolutionary leadership, not rockefeller-made chumps whose origin lie in the boule class which evolved back in the early twentieth century and modeled itself on the principles of the skull-n-bones secret society.

i say to the brothas in chicago, don't give up your gunz for nothing. amerikkka was founded on gunz. amerikkka's taking over foreign lands with gunz and bigger gunz. we need gunz too. the p.i.g.s got gunz. welcome to the wild wild west, where the only real language is the barrels of gunz! and politics is the mouthpiece of gunz.

i say to my brothas in chicago and elsewhere, let's learn who our real enemies are, beginning within OUR own camp and OUR gunz will do the rest of the talking!

Thank you for your reply. One thing I learned from working with Rev. Jackson and other national leaders over 40 years from civil rights and nationalist movements is that no matter what positions they take I always run into those with strong opposing views and it has not changed in 40 years and will not change today, so I just post and move on for clearly I also know that when on makes their definite positions that there is nothing I am about to say to change their minds. Thus, I post what I am asked to share and moving on.

      • in the spirit of revolution,

who said he was a national leader? what makes him a national leader? who sets the criteria? civil rights is about what? and what is nationalism predicated on? anyone who has a clear analysis of the sixties know full well that there was something clearly wrong. and no one's willing to take the blame or even point fingers at those who got us nowhere. it's fantasy to take a few mandates offered up by the enemy and project them as freedom. freedom from what? i challenge anybody on the face of this planet to prove that what black people need is not revolutionary nationalism.

we make all kinds of excuses, let those off the hook responsible for the still-enslaved conditions of our people, turn a blind eye and don't implicate the betrayers of our people, unlike any other group of oppressed people. point blank, jesse jackson is a rockefeller-made chump. that's a fact. there is no getting free with him, only the management of our people from unseating the powers-that-be. and we're past tired of it.

there is no unity. and there won't be any until we clean house. that goes for anyone who has brown skin. they're either in or they're not. and we ain't trying all that b.s. approach anymore. it is simple. negroes with money love amerikkka. they love what amerikkka can give them materially, all the trappings of material luxury in exchange for safe-guarding white preservation while impersonating black people. let this be clear, that black people and negroes ain't the same.

we are at war, and negroes are messing around. you'd better think about what side of the fence you're on, and do so very carefully. i know what side i'm on.

        UHURU!
