IRIE BITS: A broader role for Reggae Music

A true international citizen Reggae Music remains the universal soundtrack for social justice and IRIE global citizenship ... still while many continue to write and perform songs about global consciousness and solidarity, that inspire activism to this day... much of the music is hijacked by vitriolic materialism, causing it to evolved into a primitive... purposeless... meaningless... and ambitionless void.

It wasn’t not so long ago, when Reggae represented a movement towards equilibrium... with lyrics that spoke out against war... oppression and injustice... with its core narrative professing peace... love and unity.

To regain momentum, we must re-focus our attitude and our vocabulary... reinstating a broad spectrum of sensible themes and enlightened expressions, to promote shared values — beyond borders.

We hope you'll consider using this as a template for promoting your own initiative; to an audience naturally aligned to Reggae and the Jamaican culture.

See the Story of Stuff on Jamlink.com, it represents an example of what we are trying to accomplish using 8-bit reggae narratives.  If you have an idea for a sponsored theme, please share with us.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and feedback.
