Protesters held pictures of hanging noose, spray paint of the word "Nigger" and other racial remarks on Turner Industries properties directed at Black employees.  They charge that the company has hired less than 1 percent minorities in their workforce and those few must endure discrimination and a hostel environment.

Individuals seeking economic justice joined  together for a rally, Thursday April 25, 2013 at the Federal Court building, downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Individually and collectively they called for a halt to Turner Industries racist hiring practices and held  pictures of racial disparages in Turner Industries, Texas, Port Allen and Baton Rouge facilities.  Lawsuit has been filed in federal court. 

Activist held a news conference in front of the federal court house in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to point out racist hiring practices and tolerance of racial intolerance of  Turner Industries less than one percent minority workforce.  Photos of racial slurs found in Texas and Louisiana sites were displayed to highlight  part of the problem.

Representatives of the Baton Rouge NAACP, the state NAACP and the Southern Univeristy NAACP chapter were on hand to offer support.
