How To Write A Traffic Generating Blog Post Title

The title of your blog post is probably the most important part of the post. A great blog post should be compelling enough that readers want to click on it, share it and it should meet the search engine requirements so that it ranks well for the keywords related to your post. So how do you write for both human and machine? It is pretty simple if you follow my formula.

The Research

Before you write your blog post, you should be doing keyword research using Google Keyword Tool to find exactly what people are searching for. Your goal is to write blog posts that get the maximum amount of exposure. If you write a blog post with a witty title but not constructed to rank well for a popular search term then the post will generate good human clicks for a time but once it goes into your archives it will be irrelevant because you did not craft the title to be relevant for popular your keywords.
