"Loving From The Inside Out" a fabulous women's empowerment symposium is
going to be in Pensacola, Florida this year!
We (Emmett Till Legacy Foundation/ETLF) are seeking nominations for the
2012 WOMAN OF COURAGE Awards in Honor of Mamie Till Mobley, the mother of Emmett Till (Emmett was a 14 year old young man who was kidnapped and brutally murdered for whistling at white women in 1955). Mamie's courageous and unselfish decision to hold an open casket funeral to show the world what was done to her only son (while enduring unspeakable pain), helped to spark the civil rights movement 57
years ago. Her life's journey and her continued efforts to seek justice after
the acquittal of the murders showed the world grace, unnatural strength, the
power of forgiveness and what Loving (oneself) From the Inside Out, is all
about.
Do you know a "Woman of Courage"?...
Here are the qualities we are looking for. Nominate>>>>
■A woman who had the ability and resolve to transform tragedy, disappointment,
heartbreak and or loss into "boundless courage and hope".
■ A woman who has moved beyond the ordinary to do... the extraordinary by
engaging in action when most others would not.
■ A woman whose unselfish actions, spirit, and complexities, motivate and
inspires others.
Think of the names of women who may be well known or unknown to others,
whose acts of courage makes them stand out among others!
