HomeFree USA Hosts Maryland's Premier Homeownership Expo

Hyattsville, MD -- (April 3, 2013) National non-profit HomeFree-USA is giving Maryland homeowners the keys to success at an event designed to help them take advantage of the recovering housing market. The Keys to Success Homeownership Expo is designed to give consumers down-to-earth credit guidance, information on accessing down payment and closing costs money, and straightforward tips on getting a mortgage.

The expo will educate and inspire. Highlighting the event will be Jackie Griffin, mother of Washington Redskins superstar quarterback Robert Griffin III (RGIII). Griffin will motivate expo attendees by sharing some of the lessons she's learned and instilled in RGIII about overcoming obstacles.

The event will also feature workshops on topics like rebuilding your credit, preparing for homeownership, and local downpayment and closing cost programs. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to speak with mortgage experts, collect information on affordable homes currently for sale, and discover tools that parents can use to expand their child's money skills.

"The goal of this event is to assist as many homebuyers as possible to achieve their goal of homeownership," said Marcia Griffin, president of HomeFree-USA. "We want to give everyone the tools and information they need to buy a home they can keep for life."

The Homeownership Expo will include a raffle for a Kindle e-reader and other prizes. It will also feature exhibitors and guest speakers, as well as activities the entire family can enjoy. A complimentary lunch will cap off a day of nourishment for the body, mind and soul.
