The glorious avant-jazz Vision Festival runs from Sunday, June 5th through Saturday, June 11th and honors Peter Brotzmann this year, and as always, the festival includes many great liberation musicians from all over. Some of them who will be playing (there are too many to list here) include Hamiet Bluiett, Connie Crothers, Andrew Cyrille, Ted Daniel, Henry Grimes, Edward "Kidd" Jordan, Evan Parker, William Parker, Marc Ribot, Matthew Shipp, Sonny Simmons, Tyshawn Sorey, Craig Taborn, John Tchicai, David S. Ware, and many more. Here are Henry’s dates in the festival:

Henry Grimes (acoustic bass, violin) and Marc Ribot (guitars) have played nearly 7O concerts together in recent years in duo, trio, and quartet settings, in 15 European countries plus Turkey and the U.S. They share an artistic and personal rapport that brings them to new musical heights each time they play. Let us give thanks.
