Happy Birthday PRican PP Oscar Lopez Rivera!

Today (Jan. 6th, 2012) is Puerto Rican Political Prisoner Oscar Lopez Rivera's 69th birthday! For 30 years, he has spent his birthdays seperated from his family, friends and community because he dared to challenge the U.S. colonization of his homeland Puerto Rico; a colony of the United States since 1898!

He, along with Avelino and Norberto Gonzalez Claudio, are our three heroes behind the walls; they are the Puerto Rican Three Kings of Liberation, Freedom and Revolution.  They were taken from us by the same imperialist government that exploits poor working people throughout the world.

We cannot sit idly by and let this injustice continue!

The PEOPLE have the power to free political prisoners; now more than even Oscar, Avelino, Norberto, Mumia, Leonard Peltier, the Cuban 5, and the over 200 U.S. held political prisoners need our support and action!  We need people to join us in the streets, schools, churches, colleges, and unions and help us demand their freedom!  We need people to get creative and active!  Organize a workshop, a lettering writing night or presentation at your church, school, or youth group! All your ideas are welcome!

If you are interested in volunteering contact us at: ProLibertad@hotmail.com

Also, we need financial support to make our work a reality!  We need NEW flyers, posters, brochures and banners for our work in 2012!  The ProLibertad Freedom Campaign is calling on all our supporters and allies to help us make freedom happen! Become a Friend of ProLibertad  and Support the following activities:
