Let send our sympathies to Dr. Conrad W. Worrill, Director and Professor of the Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS), on the death of his father Walter F. Worrill, who made his transition early this morning on April 8, 2013, in Pasadena, CA. The elder Mr. Worrill was approaching his 99th birthday, which would have been on May 12 this year.

For more than 40 years, Mr. Worrill had a distinguished career as a YMCA director, serving in his last post as the Executive of Middle Atlantic Region of the National Council of YMCAs. Mr. Worrill was one of the first blacks inducted into the YMCA Hall of Fame in 1988.

Mr. Worrill had a long distinguished career of service to humanity.
