Advocacy Institute of America, Alliance for Free Choice in Education, Americans for Liberty, Congress of Racial Equality of NJ, NJ 2011 Project, Somerset County Tea Party, Reuben Torres, NJ 2011 Project, Radio & TV talk show host "Let's Get Real with Reuben Torres radio show" and WeCare Partnership invite you to join us in cosponsoring the launching of the first ever National School Choice Week, Sunday, January 23rd, 1-3 pm, at the Hyatt at Headquarters Plaza, 3 Speedwell Avenue, Morristown, New Jersey.

Leading New Jersey legislators will present a resolution regarding the proposed Parental Rights Program Act, providing for parental choice in education.

Community group representatives will express their support and plans for School Choice Week.

You are welcome to participate, record and report on this event, or just attend. If you would like to participate, and briefly speak on school choice,  let us know so we can schedule a time slot. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can finalize the agenda and room setup.

One of the greatest domestic crisis facing our nation is the failure of our educational system, which is reflected in shattered lives, diminished liberty and absence of domestic tranquility in many of our cities, as well as the staggering financial burden bankrupting taxpayers. School Choice Week, in cooperation with more than 100 advocacy groups across the nation, is a first step to fixing our broken system. As explained in “School Vouchers Turn 50 But the Fight is Just Beginning,” by transforming our educational system from top-down to bottom-up, through parental choice, education will begin to improve in quality and efficiency.

In the words of the late, great free-enterprise economist Milton Friedman, “Just as the breakup of the Ma Bell monopoly led to a revolution in communications, a breakup of the school monopoly would lead to a revolution in schooling.”

It is our hope and prayer that this event produces enough energy to develop into School Choice Year, and grow from there to School Choice Century. For parental choice in education is truly the civil rights issue of this century!

Thank you very much for your dedicated efforts on behalf the community.

“United we stand, divided we fall.” We cannot bear to fall any further. By working together in harmony we can save our ship of state.
