BOP Talent Development Program for Actors

This is a comprehensive 12-session course for actors who are serious about developing their talents. Classes will include Black TV and Film History, acting, vocal and movement techniques. The sessions are led by instructor/mentors who have extensive credits including the National Black Theatre, the Negro Ensemble, the Harlem Children’s Theatre and various television, movie and dance production companies. Upon completion of the course the actor joins the BOP TV Talent Pool from which original BOP TV network programming is cast. Admittance to the course is by audition only and this audition constitutes an application to the program. There is an audition/application fee of $20. BOP TV "TEEN" ACTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
A 12-week comprehensive course with emphasis on the growth of each young performer (aged mature 12 to 17) Admission is by audition-only and performers must have and maintain above average (A's and B's) grades in school to participate. The young actor will be trained in acting, vocal and movement techniques as well as the history of Blacks in Film and Television. The sessions are led by instructor/mentors who have extensive credits including the National Black Theatre, the Negro Ensemble, the Harlem Children's Theater Company as well as various television, movie and dance production companies. After completing the course, the young actor will join the BOP TV Talent Pool and become eligible to be cast in our original programming. The audition constitutes an application for the program and there is a $20 registration/application fee to audition. Black on Purpose Television Scriptwriter/Producer Workshop
A comprehensive, 16-session course with well-known screenwriters, producers and directors. This workshop offers the opportunity to develop an original project and have it aired on the BOP TV network. To be accepted into the program, the scriptwriter/producer must submit a sample of his or her work for approval by the network which constitutes an application for the program. Submissions will be accepted by appointment at the BOP TV Loft offices at 115 Martin L. King, Jr. Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. The standard in-office submission fee is $50 and electronic submissions are $100. Student Internships
BOP TV is looking for energetic, enthusiastic students to work as unpaid interns for Black on Purpose Television Network. The Music Producers Master Workshop
his advanced level 3-month course will be led by Brooklyn West Records and Black on Purpose Television Network CEO Michael Campbell. This will be a unique opportunity to study with an award-winning visionary in a private setting and the class size is limited to 10 persons. The cost of this unique opportunity is $2600. This course is for experienced musicians, producers and technicians only and available by application/interview-only. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee which is applied to the cost of the program if accepted.
