Reggio's is the only frozen pizza manufacturer in the City of Chicago. Reggio’s distributes its products to most major supermarket chains in 40 states. Reggio's is not only known for its famous tasty "butter crust" but even General Mills has commended Reggio's crust for being so healthy.

 

An African American-owned business employing 109 diverse black, white and Hispanic employees, Mr. John Clark and his wife, Pearl, had a vision and with faith and determination they mortgaged everything they owned to build their headquarters, located at 340 W. 83rd Street in the West Chatham community. The 36,000 USDA-inspected square foot state-of-the-art processing facility is home to the award wnning nationally known Reggio's Pizza.

 

General Mills has praised Reggio's pizza crust that they say is very healthy and tasty. While the Clark's strive for perfection in their business, they strongly believe in helping the next generation of entrepreneurs.

 

The Clark's often donate to high school and college scholarship funds, and they have an intern program as well. Believing in giving back to the community, the Clark's have even hired some of the very students they helped finance through college. Most recently, Mr. Clark and Mrs. Clark were inductees of the “Hall of Fame” at the Chicago State University.

 

Reggio’s has also received a number of awards including the: National Supplier of the Year” 2010 award presented by the National Minority supplier Development Council (NMSDC), the “Regional Supplier of the Year” from the Chicago NMSDC region, and among others the United States Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA)’s and the “National Minority Retail Firm of the Year” award.

 

Reggio's has been commended by a number of elected officials on all levels of government for excellence in business and community employment.
