NBPP, PEOPLE CONDEMN FEDS EVICTION OF REBEL DIAZ IN BRONX!
The New Black Panther Party condemns the eviction of our beloved comrades of consciousness, community service and culture, Rebel Diaz!
It is brought to our attention that federal marshalls by force of arms evicted Rebel Diaz from their performance space in the Bronx. (See Link Below)
What Rebel Diaz did to improve that area of their community was well-received from all quarters of the community. It is also in the tradition of creative community-based improvement commitments that bespeak the enormous and irrepressible populist spirit of the people in New York City that goes back decades the city. Instead of letting any unresolved issues play out in court, or even better still embracing this highly lauded effort and assisting its development, the government and the landlord took the backwards stance of repressing the effort through force and eviction.
Our party and other countless community organizations condemn this unwarranted action and stands with our comrades who have done but serve their community.
We encourage everyone to attend the emergency rally today, March 1st at their space, 478 Austin Place in the Bronx at 6pm.
Hands off Rebel Diaz!
