In commemoration with the dedication of the Martin Luther King memorial, ATuskegeeAudio.com, an independent book publishing company, will donate 50% of its profits to send students to Historically Black Colleges (HBCUs).

The ever rising cost of higher education is an ongoing problem parents and students face each year. It is the goal of the web site to help ease the burden for those who could otherwise not afford the high cost of a college education.

While the Pell and Perkins Grants are available to some students these funds are limited. To help try and bridge the gap in this ongoing problem, ATuskegeeaudio.com pledges to offer scholarships to those students who qualify. These scholarships will be offered to undergraduate students no matter their classification.

ATuskegeeAudio.com was formed due to the lack of diversity in stories and fairytales about African Americans. The publishing company will release the first of eighteen finished books, entitled The Mushroom People, on October 25, 2011. It is their mission to build a long and lasting relationship with the system of HBCUs.
