-- On August 14, 2012, Mahisha Dellinger, founder of CURLS, was invited to take part in a special panel at the Black Enterprise Walmart Forum. The event was held at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. Dellinger participated in the special forum titled "Climbing the Supply Chain," where she provided expert information and tips on how small businesses can successfully navigate their way through the Walmart supply chain.

"It was an honor to be invited to take part in this panel, and to share with others what my experience has been," said Mahisha Dellinger, founder and CEO of CURLS, a company specializing in organic hair-care products for naturally curly hair. "My hope is that it will help others find their way through the supply chain at Walmart, as well as at other retailers."

The panel Dellinger took part in was one of many at the event, which covered such issues as mentoring and protégé partnerships, navigating the procurement maze, how to be a valued contractor, and supplier diversity. In the discussion on climbing the supply chain, they covered such issues as managing company growth to position it for viability, accessing supplier development programs that provide access to financing and training, how to evolve into a strong partner, as hear about real-world challenges how entrepreneurs overcame them.

CURLS, a leader in the naturally curly hair-care industry, has successfully placed their products in over 2,000 salons, as well as with national retailers including Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Sally's, and Walgreen's. The CURLS line of products has been created with certified organic ingredients, as well as exotic oils hand-pressed in Bali. They contain natural oils, such as aloe-leaf juice, panthenol, mango, shea butter, and murmur butter. Each of the cleansers, conditioners and moisturizers in the five varieties of cocktails has been designed to give naturally curly hair, especially ethnic hair, a more natural and beautiful look, as well as to help replenish it, so that hair doesn't feel dried out or look frizzy.

"I look forward to an opportunity to participate in another such a panel, where my experiences can be useful to others," added Dellinger.

The line includes products specifically designed for women, kids and babies, including shampoos, cleansers, conditioners, curl cream, lotions, elixirs, gels, and more. For more information about the CURLS product line, visit the site at www.CURLS.biz.
