I am writing to you on behalf of the Birdie Sisters, Erica and Myah Jackson. With all the golf tournament and training expenses we've recently incurred, we have reached a point where we are unable to get Myah to one of the premiere tournaments -- The U.S. Kids World Championship in Pinehurst, NC. Because Myah is 12, this is her last opportunity to play this tournament and move up the junior golf ranks. Myah would represent the United States, Illinois and Chicago. The tournament is August 1 - 5th. However, she needs to go down a few days early to play some practice rounds in order to put forth her best effort.
Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to finance this trip and are therefore reaching out to supporters to see if there is anything you can do to help us get Myah to Pinehurst. Givent that the trip is in less than two weeks, and in order to get the cheapest rates, we need to purchase airline tickets right away and pay for the room. The expenses for the Pinehurst trip are outlined below. If there is anything you can do to assist Myah, please let me know as soon as possible. We appreciate all the support you have given the Birdie Sisters and they will continue to do their best to make you proud!
Room: $700 (plus $250 refundable deposit) = $950 due now
Airfare for Myah and Caddie: $600.00 (if purchased soon before rates go up)
Rental car: $175.00
Practice Rounds/Cart fees: $250.00
Caddie: $350.00
Food and Miscellaneous: $500 (all meals for 5-6 days)
Entry Fee: 375.00
Gas: $150.00
Total Cost of Trip: $3,550 ($250 of which is refundable) - (this also includes staying one night with a friend in Raleigh on the way back).
