When Belize got its Independence in 1981 all our borders were in order seperating Belize from Guatemala today we have statements made by members of the Belize government that our Belize border is an artificial border. Historically Spain and England has had an Anglo Guatemalan dispute which has now changed to a Belize Guatemalan dispute something is happening here we can't see as yet. Politicians in Belize continue to push against the Belizean people for Belize to go to the International Court of Justice for a decission on Belize's border. If there is anyone with information please help to enlighten us on decissions from the ICJ..news articles, etc; rescent news Guatemalan Gold rush inside Belize's border, light sweet crude oil, by a slip of the tounge a Government minister stated on national TV some time ago that uranium was found in Belize. What else has been found in Belize? Is this going to be another Nicaragua?

Honestly, I am not in support of any ICJ move going by the experience of Nigeria over the Bakassi issue between Nigeria and Cameroun. I will rather advise that the Belize Government reach out to Belizeans and consult widely with every Belizean institutions that matter on the next line of action before taking any concrete action on the matter.
