Barack Hussein Obama Cannot Do It By Himself

Cornell West is grief stricken because he didn't get invited to the inauguration. He got all ready and didn't get to go. He thought surely that his friend and classmate would invite him, and he has been bitter, and hotter than a $2.00 pistol ever since.

The system was not designed for any African to come in and make the kind of changes that we are looking for. This system was designed by white supremacists, to support and benefit the creators of white supremacy. There is not one plank in that platform that is structured to allow an African with an Arab name, like "Barack Hussein Obama", to come to prominence and make changes which will diminish and weaken the position of white power, and authority.

Have we forgotten that the president is a figure head, and that the strings are being pulled by decision makers that you and I rarely ever see, and seldom ever hear their names, and that the average person doesn't even believe it when someone tells them just how much control, and the magnitude of the power that person or group of persons wield, not only in this country, but across the globe.

I would love to see this President do more to help change the condition of our people, however, I wonder how far that would go without our full support of those efforts. I wonder how far that would go without us demanding of the government to make changes that are in our best interest.

I ask you Family, are we willing to create the atmosphere and conditions that would put the President and the Congress in a position where they have no choice but to do the right thing? Without that kind of support, and demand, the burden lies on the shoulders of the President, the Congressional Black Caucus, and a hand full of liberals. In all sincerity, is that small group of people what we want the sovereignty, independence, and political self-determination of our people to be hinged on?

For a very long time now, the question has been: "Should Black people focus on the gradual accumulation of skills and economic well being, or should we demand the full and immediate rights due to us as American citizens?" Do we have the courage to demand those rights, or should we simply keep on talking about, "what Mr. Obama" ought to do?"

If we feel that that all we should have to do is wait until some benevolent white man or woman in a black robe, or some Black man in the Presidents chair sign a bill and say: "Here! This document makes you free, independent, and self determining." lets not do anything but wait on that wonderful day. However, if you believe that we have the will to do something in our own behalf to get that freedom, then like the Hon. Marcus Garvey, and the Hon. Elijah Muhammad said, it's time to GET UP, and accomplish that!

One love, one destiny, one Africa!  Freedom Is our birthright!

I do not mean to sound like I am on an Obama bandwagon but, I really think he is doing a good job by standing up and being a man. He does not allow himself to be cowarded or intimidated by the "powers". I believe that God (Allah) has given us an innate power to be and do what we are to be and do. Most of the time throught lack of knowledge and lack of freedom in the (of the) mind we do not use our power. Mr. Obama is truly appointed by God to lead this nation at this time. No he cannot do it by himself but he is more than capable of leading because God does not send us out without preparing us first. Black people in America cannot expect the president to "free" us...we must use the opportunities and resources in our communities and around this country to pull ourselves up and then help the next one up. We have had it hard as a people but God made us tough and we have survived the worst. We need to get ready for the blessings awaiting  free-minded people.

We should be able to lead ourselves, but we are not or it would be done.  People need a leader with the courage to lead.  I believe President Barack Obama has the courage; however, there is a huge difference between courage and stupidity for in a conflict one needs to do the right thing and the right time to minimize failure. No one saw the Tea-party coming or gaining so much influence in the Republican party. We are being forced into Oligarchy. Look at the big disparity between dark and light people!  Look at the attempts to blatantly hinder voting rights and opportunity! Look at the intensifying of profiling of all dark people.  Look at the breaking down of the most powerful unions in the country CSEA along with the Airport air Controllers, and the lowering of wages. The greed merchants want to be billionaires without growing the economy and want all the wealth to flow to them, which would bankrupt our nation for them to conquer by default! With that power, I believe they want to conquer the world with our nuclear arsenal through blackmail. However, their woefully small numbers won't allow them to be successful.

Not only will their small numbers stop their success but we are a blessed people. As more and more of our people learn the power of a free-mind God will lift us to our rightful place. The proof is President Obama!!!!
