This summer, the Action Leadership Institute-Kuumba Promos (ACI-KP) Collaborative will coordinate the kickoff project for Planting SEEDS of Success on Forest Ave. The kickoff project will by a Summer Daycamp at the Forest Avenue Apartment Complex. The Summer Daycamp will begin June 4^th - Aug 4^th and will include recreational tournaments and activities, summer reading, writing and math worksheets, Black History and African American Cultural enrichment sessions and Swahili lessons and hopefully a tour of the African American Historical Sites Driving Tour through Jackson.

At the end to the summer, ACI-KP expects to increase knowledge of the African American History and Cultural in the students; increase the reading, writing and math skills for the students; increased knowledge to career exploration opportunities, with a strong emphasis on STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology & Math-based) Careers and enrolled 60-75 in the Planting SEEDS of Success on Forest Ave initiative.

As a community, we must learn to invest in programs that provide a marketable return on our investments. Planting SEEDS of Success on Forest Ave is worthy of your investment.
