Black Family Day will be observed Saturday, August 25, 2012, in downtown Reidsville, NC. OPEN to the public and sponsored by the Rebuilding the Block Initiative, Everlasting Spring Water-Carolinas, local businesses and citizens. Black Family Day is held annually. It is known for its spirited entertainment and enlightening speakers.
WORKSHOPS FOR SELF-IMPROVEMENT will begin at 12 PM until 3 PM and will include a special presentation on Disaster Preparedness, also a workshop on the importance of home and land ownership. This will be held at the Reidsville Public Library located at 204 W. Morehead Street.
The outdoor program will begin at 2 PM. at MARKET SQUARE, 307 South Scales Street, Reidsville, NC.
About Black Family Day
Black Family Day has been bringing all people together, since 1996, in unity, peace, and love to inspire and strengthen family ties and recognize the tremendous contributions of Black Families to this nation.
Included are day of workshops, gospel, R&B, Hip-Hop, spoken word artists, spiritual & civic leaders. Vendors from all over the region bring arts, crafts, and products of interest to the Black community. Ethnic and traditional menus are on hand in the food village. The Family Fun Village will feature games, bounces, face painting, and more.
This celebration is free. However, donations are encouraged and accepted via www.blackfamilyday.org
