It is with great sadness that InI heard of the passing of the Venerable Elder Bongo Rocky at the Shashamane Tabernacle in Ithiopia earlier this day Wednesday 15th September 2010.
 
Bongo Rocky repatriated from Jamaica to Ithiopia a decade ago with his Kwueen Daughter Baby-I. Since then he has served with distinction as Elder Statesman and Ambassador of the Rastafari Nation. He has headed delegations and meetings with Heads of State, politicians, AU representatives, as well as local and regional dignitaries on behalf of the Shashemane community and the Nation of Rastafari.
 
'Bongo Rock', aptly named, was a cornerstone of Inity and a pillar of strength for InI worldwide, a Councillor for the many visitors to the Tabernacle and a rallying point for InI collective aspirations of Repatriation.
 
Today the Nation of Rastafari mourns the passing of a great Exemplar and Shining Light of the movement.
 
A further news sound will shortly be circulated to Ones regarding arrangements for collections and contributions to recognise the passing of the great Elder Bongo Rocky. May he rest in Power. 
 
Through the Iwa of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ithiopia who lives and reigns foriver in the hrearts of InI.
